Biography

Dr. Bytyçi has completed specializations in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at University Clinical Centre of Kosovo, Republic of Kosovo and has finished PhD studies in Public Health and Clinical Medicine at Umea University, Sweden. She was awarded the “Scientist of the Year 2021” prize by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology in Kosovo.

Dr. Bytyçi’s clinical and research interests encompass subclinical atherosclerosis, dyslipidemia, preventive cardiology, left atrial function, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, and cardiac imaging. She has published many papers in peer reviewed journals and presented her work at numerous national and international cardiovascular conferences, accumulating over 11,400 citations to date.

Management and clinical outcome of myocardial infarction in Kosovo: A cross-sectional study 2024-10-18
CONCLUSION: Between 2014 and 2020, half of patients with acute MI were not treated with PPCI, who had high mortality, particularly when presenting with STEMI. Age, cardiogenic shock, anemia, low LV EF, STEMI and no PPCI independently predicted mortality. Cardiogenic shock and lack of PPCI independently predicted mortality, only in STEMI.
